KTM RC 125 MANUFACTURING :

Austrian motorcycle manufacturer KTM launched its all-new KTM RC 200 fully-faired  sports bike in India starting price from Rs. 1.47 lakhs (ex-showroom).

KTM Bikes are popular with riders who want sporty performance from their machines. While KTM's entry-level naked bike, the 125 Duke is priced at Rs. 1.18 lakh, the RC series is the fully-faired version of the same, with an even more aggressive riding stance.

The RC's 125 design is inspired from its moto GP RC 16 motorcycle. It features a steel trellis frame, an upside-down front suspension and triple clamp handlebar for better handling. It gets dual projector headlamps with LED daytime running lamps.

The RC 125 is powered by a single-cylinder, 4-valve, liquid-cooled, fuel-injected DOHC engine producing 14.5 PS of power and 12 Nm of torque. It comes with a six-speed gearbox. The front and the rear brakes have a 300 mm disc and 230 mm disc respectively, with single-channel ABS acting on the front wheel.

The RC weigh around 154 kg with ground clearance of 157 mm, which is pretty generous for a bike wth sporty pretensions. It comes in two colour options. The closest rival of RC 125, considering the price bracket, is the Yamaha R15 V3.

KTM followes the success of the Duke with its faired sibling, the RC 125 in India. The motorcycle gats the same aggressive styling as the other RC models including the projector headlamps accompanied by LED DRL's, turn indicators and tail lamps. It also gets the step-seat design along with the fully-digital instrument console.

However, as part of the BS6 update, KTM is offering the RC 125 ina new white, orange and black livery. It also gets a revised version of the 124cc, single-cylinder engine to comply with the emission norms. This motor produces 14.5 bhp and 12 nm and comes mated to a six speed gearbox. The RC 125 continues to ride on a inverted forks up front and a monoshock at the rear. Meanwhile, braking is taken care of by a 300mm rear disc along with a single-piston Bybre caliper. The system is assisted by single-channel ABS.

In terms of competition, the KTM RC 125 goes head on against the Yamaha R15 V3 as they are closely priced.
